A soil activator formulated with beneficial microorganisms to support healthier soil conditions when used with fertilizer programs.
Each gram contains more than 10 million microbes.
Why It’s Important
Soil condition affects how well crops absorb nutrients. Acidic and compacted soils can limit fertilizer effectiveness.
Essential Microbes is designed to:
- Help manage acidic soil conditions
- Loosen compacted soil for better aeration
- Support nutrient uptake from applied fertilizers
Recommendation:
We recommend 2–4 kg of EM per palm per year, depending on soil condition.

Essential Microbes falls under the biological approach and is intended as part of a longer-term soil management practice.
Indicators of Activated Soil
Changes in soil condition occur gradually. When biological activity increases, certain indicators may be observed over time, such as:
Changes in soil pH readings
Before: ph reading: 5.2
After: ph reading: 6.6
Increased soil biological activity (e.g. earthworms)
Improved root development, including visible aerial roots in oil palm
These indicators are observations and may vary depending on field conditions and management practices.
